Ukrenergo predicts emergency power outages in the evening

Today, there is a significant shortage of electricity in the Ukrainian power system throughout the day, so the company predicts emergency blackouts in the evening. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo, reports [Kommersant]
The company explains the increase in electricity consumption by the cold snap.
“With an increase in consumption in the evening hours of maximum consumption from 18:00 to 23:00, Ukrenergo predicts the introduction of emergency outages for household and industrial consumers,” the statement said,

Also today, from 00:00 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 24:00, power limitation schedules for industrial consumers are in effect.
During the day, electricity is imported from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Moldova in the total volume of 23,692 MWh with a maximum capacity of up to 1,628 MW in some hours. In total, the maximum possible volume of imports is planned.
As of the morning of 15 May, 418 settlements in Ukraine were without power. There are new blackouts in Donetsk, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
