After the massive night attack by Russia, the government has focused its efforts on the prompt restoration of heat, electricity and water supply.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the statement of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.

“We are working to eliminate the consequences across the country. The focus is on the prompt restoration of heat, light and water,” Svyrydenko said.

She noted that conference calls had already been held with the heads of the regional water supply companies, and reports on the situation at the facilities had been heard.

According to the prime minister, anti-crisis headquarters and stabilization centers have been deployed on the ground.

“The Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Development, together with regional administrations and local authorities, are coordinating the work of repair crews, utilities and the State Emergency Service to restore vital services,” she added.

Shelling of Ukraine

Last night, Russia launched a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine, using missiles and drones to strike energy infrastructure.

Due to the damage to the networks, emergency power outages had to be introduced in a number of regions, causing disruptions to critical systems.
