Valeriy Zaluzhnyi approved for the post of Ambassador to the UK

The candidacy of former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi has been approved for the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

This was reported by Kommersant Ukrainian with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

It is reported that on Thursday, 7 March 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the candidacy of Valeriy Zaluzhnyi for the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has sent the British side a request for the appointment,” the statement said.

As a reminder, in 2023, Zelensky dismissed Vadym Prystaiko from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom.
