In January-November 2024, the volume of cargo transshipment in the seaports of Ukraine reached 89.8 million tons, exceeding last year’s figure (52.9 million tons) by 69.7%. This was reported by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Ukrainian ports are a key link for exports, particularly of grain and metal products.

Traditionally, the bulk of cargo traffic is made up of agricultural products. Over the past 11 months, 55 million tons of agricultural products were transshipped through the ports.

This figure demonstrates Ukraine’s key role in ensuring grain exports to global markets, which contributes to food security in many countries.

November 2024 was one of the most productive months for Ukrainian ports. During the month, 7.5 million tons of cargo were handled, which is 41% more than in November last year.

Such a breakthrough demonstrates the port industry’s ability to adapt to challenges and maintain high performance.
