Copper prices hit an all-time high

The price of copper has reached an all-time high amid the Chinese government’s statements about strengthening domestic demand as a key economic priority for 2026. This was reported by Bloomberg, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to journalists, the cost of non-ferrous metal increased by 1.3%, reaching a record $ 11,771.

“Copper is benefiting from support measures aimed at modernizing power grids and developing computing power. The growth dynamics remain very optimistic,” said Xu Wanqiu, an analyst at Chinese brokerage Cofco Futures Co.

In August, the shares of Chinese companies engaged in the extraction of rare earth metals experienced a significant growth spurt. According to Bloomberg, the reason for this was the tightening of government regulation in this area, which was expected to have a favorable impact on the positions of large market participants.
