3 April 2025 04:00
The curfew on Easter night in Kyiv will remain in effect. Night services in churches will be broadcast online. This was announced by the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“This is the fourth Easter the country will celebrate under martial law. Therefore, we urge citizens to give preference to online broadcasts of services and remember the curfew, which is in effect from 00:00 to 05:00. There are no plans to change the curfew time in the capital,” he said.
The deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration said that on the eve of the holiday, the city would ask the leaders of religious communities to limit mass services and provide online broadcasts from religious buildings on Ukrainian media and via the Internet.
He also called on residents of the capital to be conscious, take into account the recommendations of the military and avoid large crowds.
“We continue to live in a full-scale war. And the most important value is human life. So be conscious, take into account the recommendations of the military, avoid large crowds and take care of each other!” emphasized the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
He added that the city will provide transportation to city cemeteries during the memorial days in 2025. A detailed list of routes will be published later on the Official Kyiv portal.
This year, Orthodox and Catholics will celebrate Easter on April 20.
