The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has approved an updated list of teaching aids and equipment for teaching the subject “Defense of Ukraine” in general secondary education institutions.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The list includes: simulators for controlling FPV drones with computers, interactive laser shooting simulators, tablets for training and modern multimedia equipment. There are also mannequins for training in resuscitation and first aid, tourniquets and bleeding control devices, tactical medicine kits, and simulators for practicing trauma care skills. The protective equipment includes updated helmets and body armor, gas masks with quality certificates, and chemical protection equipment. The technical equipment includes drones for practical training, radio stations for learning the basics of communication, and elements of a training track.

According to the Ministry, the updated equipment will help teach students life-saving first aid skills, prepare them to use modern security technologies, develop critical thinking and resistance to disinformation, and form practical skills for emergency response.

We would like to remind you that the subject “Defense of Ukraine” was radically updated in 2024. Instead of formal drill, students now undergo intensive 6-8-hour practical training once a month in specially equipped centers. The program covers first aid, drone control, cybersecurity, countering disinformation, and emergency response.
