Can I drink milk in adulthood: explanation by a nutritionist

Milk and dairy products are not only safe but also healthy for adults. They are a source of protein and calcium, which are essential for healthy bones, muscles, and nervous system. Viktor Mandziak, a fitness trainer and nutritionist, told the "Komersant Ukrainian" YouTube channel in an interview .

“Milk is the best source of calcium for the body, a very important nutrient for bones, teeth, nervous system, and muscles.

It is a mistake to believe that milk is good only for children, and that it becomes harmful in adulthood. This is not true,” the expert emphasized.

He added that when consuming milk, people should be guided by their own feelings.

“If you don’t have diarrhea, no bloating, no flatulence after drinking milk, then drink milk all your life. If there are such special effects, choose lactose-free milk or fermented milk products. It’s foolish to exclude milk and dairy products from the diet just because someone on Instagram said it was harmful,” he emphasized.

As a reminder, the issue of milk consumption in adulthood remains controversial. Some people consider this product to be an indispensable source of calcium and protein, while others are convinced that after childhood the body loses the ability to absorb lactose.
