Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi told the military that the current war leaves them with little chance of survival. He said this during a meeting with Ukrainian soldiers undergoing training in the UK, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing British media.
“Thank you very much for joining the army – it is a very courageous act. We have only one Ukraine. No one but us will defend it. Remember that the war is getting more and more brutal every day. It leaves almost no chance of survival. But still, the war will fear those who are ready to join it. We need to learn this here. To learn not to be afraid of death, not to be afraid to look the enemy in the eye,”
– zaluzhnyi told the soldiers.
