Power outages on November 12: how the restrictions will work
12 November 02:24
Due to the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, blackout schedules will be reintroduced in most regions on Wednesday, November 12. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
What restrictions are being introduced
According to Ukrenergo, they will be in effect on Wednesday:
Schedules of hourly outages:
- from 00:00 to 23:59 – from two to four queues;
Schedules of power limitation:
- from 00:00 to 23:59 – for industrial consumers.
The power company clarified that the time and scope of the restrictions may vary depending on the situation in the power system and the level of consumption.
Reasons for the restrictions
In recent days, Russia has carried out several massive missile and drone attacks aimed at energy facilities in different regions of Ukraine.
Due to the damage to part of the energy infrastructure, power companies are forced to balance the system’s load to avoid emergency blackouts.
Where to find out your outage schedule
“Ukrenergo urges Ukrainians to follow the updates on the official pages of regional power distribution companies in their region. They publish current schedules and changes in outages.
“When electricity is supplied on schedule, please use it sparingly,” the company emphasized.
