Starting today, some men will lose their deferment from mobilization: what you need to know
3 February 01:10
In Ukraine, starting February 3, some of the automatic deferrals from mobilization granted by territorial recruitment centers in November 2025–January 2026 will cease to be valid. Not all deferrals were automatically extended, so citizens are advised to check their status to ensure they do not lose their current protection. This was reported by lawyer Daria Tarasenko on Facebook, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the lawyer, February 2 is the last day of the deferrals that were previously granted by decision of the TCC and SP or automatically through electronic services.
Starting February 3:
- for some individuals, the deferral will be extended automatically or by decision of the commission;
- for others, the deferral will be terminated and their status will change to “no deferral.”
That is why it is critically important to verify the information.
How to check the deferral status
Through the “Reserve” app
In the app, you need to:
- view the automatic extension notification;
- generate an extended extract and check the deferral date.
Possible options:
- date 04.05.2026 — deferral extended;
- date 02.02.2026 — deferral not extended.
The lawyer warns that due to high traffic, the application may run slowly or with delays.
Through the Diya portal (eVOD)
From February 3, another verification method will become available — eVOD on the Diya portal.
The following information is displayed here:
- only the fact of the existence of a valid deferral, without specifying the date;
- if the deferral has not been extended, there will be a dash in the “deferral” column.
This method allows you to quickly understand whether the deferral is valid after February 2.
What to do if the deferral has been extended or not
If the deferral has been extended
No additional action is required. At the same time, lawyers advise periodically checking the status, as automatic extensions may not apply to all categories.
If the deferral has not been extended
There are two possible courses of action:
Option 1.
From February 3, apply for a deferral online through “Reserve.”
Important: not all grounds for deferral are available for online application.
Option 2.
Submit a package of documents through the Administrative Services Center to apply for a deferral offline. This must be done as soon as possible, because if the previous deferral has expired and a new one has not been applied for, there is a risk of mobilization.
Important clarification
The procedure described above applies only to deferrals that are:
- are applied for through the “Reserve”;
- or are granted by commissions at the TCC and SP.
These rules do not apply to:
deferrals for reservations;
- deferrals related to official or job duties.
