From now on, the “winter thousand” funds can also be spent on groceries
11 December 12:27
Starting from December 11, UAH 1,000 of assistance under the Winter Support program can be spent on food products of Ukrainian origin, except for excisable goods, by paying with a National Cashback card, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the Ministry of Social Policy.
This option is already available in the Fozzy Group retail chains (Silpo, Fora, THRASH!TRASH!, Fozzy) and Blizenko, and is currently available in more than 1,160 stores across Ukraine, and the list of outlets will be expanded over time. So far, the opportunity does not apply to online orders.
In general, Ukrainians can use the Winter Support funds in the amount of UAH 1,000 to pay for utilities and postal services, charity, as well as for goods from Ukrainian producers, such as medicines, books and, from now on, food.
Until when can you use a thousand?
If the funds are credited to the National Cashback card via Diia, they can be spent until June 30, 2026.
Those Ukrainians who receive pensions or social benefits through Ukrposhta and for whom the payment is generated automatically, as well as those who have applied for it at the outlets, can spend the thousand by the end of February 2026. This is the Government’s extension of the deadline for using the aid – now recipients of the Winter Support through Ukrposhta will have more time to spend the money.
It should be noted that the UAH 1,000 allowance has already been funded for more than 11.9 million Ukrainians who have already spent more than UAH 3.4 billion through the National Cashback card.
