US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff did not meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after talks with the Russian side in the Kremlin and immediately went to Washington.

This was reported by Kyiv Post correspondent in Washington, Alex Raufoglu, "Komersant Ukrainian".

“The meeting in Brussels has been canceled, sources say. Zelensky is returning home. The Kremlin claims that Vitkoff and Kushner ‘promised’ to go to Washington immediately after talks with Putin,” the journalist wrote in X.

Prior to that, on the evening of December 2, Raufoglu, citing two sources in the know , reported that Zelenskyy was to meet with Vitkoff and Kushner in Brussels immediately after their visit to Moscow.

On Tuesday, the Kremlin hosted talks between the Americans and the Russian side, led by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, which lasted about five hours. Prior to the meeting, a CNN source told the news outlet, Witkoff and Kushner were forced to wait in the Kremlin while Putin spoke at the Russia Calling economic forum.

The summit ended without a deal on Ukraine. After the meeting, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the American side submitted its proposals, but “no compromise was found.”
