Depositors of bankrupt Motor Bank and PIN Bank began to receive their funds back

The Deposit Guarantee Fund is starting to pay compensation to depositors of insolvent Motor Bank and PIN Bank. This was reported by the DGF, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

Starting March 12, the DGF will begin paying guaranteed compensation to depositors of insolvent Motor Bank JSC and First Investment Bank JSC.

According to the Deposit Guarantee Fund, during the temporary administration, depositors of Motor Bank JSC are entitled to UAH 18.5 million, and depositors of First Investment Bank JSC are entitled to UAH 15.7 million.

Payments are made under bank deposit agreements that expired at the end of February 19, 2026 (i.e., the day preceding the date of withdrawal of banks from the market), as well as under bank account agreements.

“Each depositor can choose when and how to receive the funds due to them,” the statement said.

Reimbursement for deposits can be obtained through the mobile application of the Diya portal in five banks that are agents of the Fund, remotely through the online platforms of five agent banks, or directly at a branch of one of the 16 agent banks.

“Each depositor will receive their funds in full, with interest accrued as of the end of the day on February 19, 2026,” the FGDFO emphasized.

On February 19, the National Bank of Ukraine declared First Investment Bank (PINbank), confiscated from Russian billionaire Giner, and Motor Bank, confiscated from Boguslaev, insolvent.

previously reported that the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Individuals introduced temporary administration at Motor Bank JSC and First Investment Bank JSC for a period of one month starting February 20, 2026.

The Deposit Guarantee Fund extended the terms of open competitions to find investors to withdraw insolvent JSC First Investment Bank and JSC Motor Bank from the market until March 17.

Earlier it was reported that six companies – three banks and three non-bank financial institutions – are bidding to acquire the insolvent state-owned Motor Bank and PINbank. Among the bidding banks are Asvio Bank, Tascombank, and Industrialbank.
