Iranian authorities have sharply rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s reminder regarding the U.S. ultimatum, which expires in two days. Several Iranian officials have voiced this position, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

Iranian General: The U.S. Has Suffered a Series of Defeats

“Iran will send you and your soldiers straight to the depths of hell—where you have always belonged,” wrote Ebrahim Azizi, chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, on social media in response to Trump’s remarks.

“The aggressive and belligerent US president, after a series of defeats, in a helpless, nervous, unbalanced, and foolish manner, has taken the liberty of threatening Iranian infrastructure and assets,” said General Ali Abdolali Aliabadi, a representative of Iran’s Supreme Military Command .

He also stated that in the event of a new wave of U.S. strikes, “the gates of hell will open” before them.

Trump’s New Ultimatum to Iran

On April 4, the U.S. president reiterated his ultimatum on the social media platform TruthSocial. According to Trump, Tehran must “reach an agreement” with Washington or lift the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz within the next 48 hours (i.e., by Monday, April 6). Otherwise, “all hell will break loose” on Iran, the Republican warned.

On the night of March 22, the U.S. president had already issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Tehran. At that time, Trump also demanded the lifting of the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and promised that the U.S. military would launch strikes on Iranian energy facilities if this did not happen. Subsequently, Trump extended the deadline of the ultimatum several times, citing negotiations with Iran.
