Epiphany 2025: 12 places for bathing have been prepared in Kyiv

In Kyiv, 12 locations have been prepared for the safe celebration of Epiphany, which, according to the new church calendar, is celebrated in Ukraine on January 6. This is reported on the website of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“On the eve of Epiphany, the city authorities call on Kyiv residents to refrain from mass gatherings and events and to observe the restrictions in force during martial law. In particular, they urge people to refuse to swim in water on Epiphany,” the statement reads.
on January 6, Pleso will organize rescue and medical support at 12 different locations in Kyiv to ensure public safety. Among them:
- lake Verbne
- obolonsky Island
- detsky, Venice, Central, Telbin, Troyeshchyna, Rainbow, Pushcha-Vodytsia, Natalka, Galerny and Veselka beaches.
Municipal security will provide security at Obolonsky Island and Detsky Beach. In addition, Kyiv’s beaches and water bodies are regularly checked for sanitary standards. To reduce the risk of injury, divers examined the bottom of the water bodies at all locations.
The Kyiv Metro reports that on January 6, the second lobby of the Hydropark station will be temporarily opened (from 10:00 to 17:00). Lobby 1 will be open from 05:39 to 22:34.
