Martial law and mobilization to be extended again: details

Martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine will be extended for another 90 days. The Verkhovna Rada may support this issue next week.

This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram, Kommersant Ukrainian reports.

“Early next week, we expect a vote to extend martial law and general mobilization for 90 days,” the parliamentarian said.

Martial law and general mobilization are in effect until February 7, and will be extended until May 9, 2025.

According to the MP, the draft laws are likely to be submitted to the parliament on Monday, January 13.

To recap, in November 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws extending martial law and general mobilization. This was the 13th time the law on martial law was signed.
