An enemy drone struck a tax office building in Chernihiv Oblast: what are the consequences?

On the morning of April 7, Russian occupiers attacked the building of the State Tax Inspectorate in the center of the border town of Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv Oblast.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a Facebook post by Oleksandr Seliverstov, head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration.
“On April 7, 2026, the enemy carried out yet another act of aggression against civilian infrastructure in the border region,” the head of the Regional Military Administration said.
According to him, at around 9:30 a.m., an enemy UAV was recorded striking the center of Novhorod-Siverskyi. The strike by an unidentified drone hit the State Tax Inspection building.
The blast wave damaged the facades of nearby residential buildings and private vehicles.
Information regarding casualties is currently being verified. Emergency services and law enforcement are on the scene.
