For the first time in human history: Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the enemy with ground drones instead of infantry

Ukrainian forces have made a historic breakthrough in warfare by conducting the first offensive operation without direct infantry involvement, using only unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and FPV drones. This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to a spokesperson for the Ukrainian brigade operating in the Kharkiv sector, the operation took place near the village of Liptsi, north of Kharkiv. The attack successfully destroyed Russian positions. The operation involved dozens of unmanned ground vehicles equipped with machine guns. In addition, the UGVs were used to plant and clear mines in designated areas.
Experts emphasize that such tactics are part of Ukraine’s strategy to use technological innovations and asymmetric strike capabilities to compensate for manpower constraints, especially against the backdrop of Russia’s willingness to accept unjustified losses for minor territorial gains.

Ukraine continues to develop the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the successful completion of tests of a drone connected to fiber-optic cables, which significantly increases its resistance to electronic warfare (EW). It is worth noting that similar drones are already being used by Russian forces in the Kursk region and in Ukraine.
Additionally, a Ukrainian drone manufacturer announced the creation of a prototype of the first FPV drone, all components of which are made exclusively in Ukraine, which is an important step in the development of the domestic military-industrial complex.
