A talented musician was wounded: Ihor Voronka died at the front (photo)

Opera singer, musician and actor Igor “Atos” Voronka was killed in the fighting for Ukraine. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing a post on Facebook by his wife Marina Rayevska.
Mrs Rayevska learned about her husband’s death from a message from his comrades-in-arms. It turned out that Ihor Voronka was killed in action on 6 July. It happened near the village of New York (formerly Novhorodske), Donetsk region.
“I’m writing this, but I still can’t believe it… We have lost a wonderful husband, father and friend. He will always remain in our hearts,” the opera singer’s wife wrote on her social media page.
She added that the family is currently unable to organise a funeral or obtain official documents about his death because the area is occupied. Therefore, he is officially listed as missing.

Igor Voronka joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. On 3 July 2024, the musician turned 49 years old.
The man was a leading artist of the Dumka National Academic Choir, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, opera singer and actor.
