License and technical passport lost due to the war – now you can restore them for free

Ukrainians who have lost their documents due to the war will be able to restore their driver’s licenses and vehicle registration certificates free of charge. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“We must be sensitive to the needs of those who have lost property, housing or documents because of the war. Today, the Government has adopted a decision that allows for the free restoration of driver’s licenses and vehicle registration certificates for citizens affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” she said.
The official clarified that this refers to cases when documents were lost due to shelling.
“People should not face additional bureaucratic barriers in already difficult circumstances,” she summarized.
Last August, service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs started issuing new driver’s license forms and vehicle registration certificates. These documents have additional security features.
