Loss of UAH 1 million: occupants destroyed a Nova Poshta branch in Donetsk region

6 October 08:24

Russian occupation forces shelled a Nova Poshta office in Donetsk region. As a result of the attack, more than 400 customer parcels worth more than UAH 1 million were destroyed. This was reported by the company’s press service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

At about 18:40, the Russian occupiers fired on a settlement in Donetsk region, where a Nova Poshta office was located. As a result of a direct hit, the building burned to the ground.

“The occupants turned 405 parcels with a total declared value of more than UAH 1 million into ashes,” the company said in a statement.

There were no human casualties or injuries – the branch was closed at the time of the attack, so employees were not inside.

The company promised to compensate for the losses

Nova Poshta assured that all customers will receive compensation for the destroyed items.
Representatives of the company are already contacting senders to refund the cost of the parcels in full.

“Nova Poshta will compensate customers for the loss of parcels. We will contact you shortly and inform you of the details of the refund,” the company said.

Large-scale shelling in Ukraine

On the night of October 5, Russia launched a massive air attack on Ukraine.

The most powerful strike hit Lviv region, where the gas transportation infrastructure was destroyed. Four people were killed and eight wounded.

Also at night, the enemy attacked Chernihiv with kamikaze drones: an industrial enterprise and a power facility were damaged, causing emergency power outages in part of the city.
