Russia is ready to ensure that there will be no strikes on Ukrainian territory on the day of a possible vote if Kyiv decides to hold elections.
This was stated in an interview with Russian propaganda media by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
At the same time, he noted that the practical organization of elections in Ukraine is not currently being discussed.
The diplomat confirmed that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s position remains unchanged — the head of state has stated his willingness to consider stopping attacks deep inside Ukraine on the day of the vote, provided that it takes place.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced at the Munich Security Conference that he is ready to hold presidential elections in Ukraine only on condition of a two-month ceasefire. The statement came amid US demands to speed up the peace agreement and discussions about possible concessions.
