Payments to the families of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes increased: what you need to know

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution to increase monthly allowances for disabled family members of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The update is intended to restore a fair level of support, as the current payments have not been revised for more than a decade.
What payments will increase and when
The new amounts will take effect on December 1, 2025. The changes relate to survivor’s pension supplements.
The main innovations:
- uAH 12,971 – a new monthly supplement for disabled family members of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.
- Equal distribution – if a family has two or more disabled dependents, this amount is divided equally between them.
The previous amount of additional payments, established back in 2014, ranged from UAH 5,000 to UAH 8,000, depending on the number of recipients.
Thus, the government is effectively doubling and standardizing the level of payments.
Who else will receive the supplement
The Cabinet of Ministers has also expanded the categories of pensioners eligible to receive the supplement.
Now, it will be added not only to the survivor’s pension, but also to:
- old-age pensions
- disability pensions,
- provided that these pensions are granted in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Compulsory State Pension Insurance”.
This allows us to cover most of the families who have lost their breadwinner and are eligible for state support.
How many families receive payments now
According to the Ministry of Social Policy, the following people are currently receiving survivor’s pensions:
- 92 disabled family members,
- 76 Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
After the adopted changes, these people will receive a significant increase in monthly support.
