In the coming decades: Musk has promised to build cities on the Moon and Mars

SpaceX intends to build self-sustaining cities on the Moon and Mars in the coming decades.

This was announced by American entrepreneur Elon Musk on social network X, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to him, the company’s specialists have already focused on implementing such a project on Earth’s satellite — results can be achieved in less than 10 years.

“SpaceX will also strive to build a city on Mars and start doing so in about five to seven years,” Musk wrote.

The entrepreneur noted that flights to Mars will only be possible during periods when the planets of the solar system align properly every 26 months. The journey will take six months.

In turn, rockets to the Moon can be launched every 10 days with a flight duration of two days. The founder of SpaceX emphasized that for this reason, the construction of a city there will be carried out much faster than on Mars. According to his estimates, the creation of the latter will take more than 20 years.
