Moscow is conducting another information operation against Ukraine. Recently, videos have been appearing on TikTok and other social media platforms one after another, allegedly showing Ukrainian men filming themselves on holiday abroad and calling themselves “evaders”. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ reports.

The GUR said that such content is rapidly gaining views and comments from the audience.

The comments under the videos are both positive and critical, but the discussions under these videos only promote them to trends.

“For such content, ‘folk’ songs were created at the same time, with lyrics that always contain the main message of praising ‘evaders’. The synchronicity of the appearance of numerous songs and videos that “heroise” men who refuse to defend their own country, the anonymity of their authors and the promotion of this content by organised groups of bots indicate a targeted hostile propaganda campaign,”

– the DIU noted.

According to the intelligence, this ISIS is a classic technology for splitting society, with “defenders” on one side and “evaders” on the other.

The DIU added that the purpose of such enemy actions is to disrupt mobilisation and increase tension in society through internal confrontation.

“We urge everyone to be critical of information coming from anonymous sources and always remember that we owe the opportunity to live and, in particular, to consume various content on social media only to the Defenders of Ukraine,”

– the DIU summed up.
