In today’s digital environment, cyber threats are becoming more and more widespread. In 2023 alone, Ukrainian TikTok users faced a wave of phishing attacks, and many forced migrants fell victim to fraudulent ads promising help. Amid these challenges, there is a growing need for knowledge of personal data protection and digital literacy.
To provide girls with the necessary tools, STEM is FEM offers a series of workshops and practical classes.
During the program, participants will be able to learn how to
- recognize cyber threats (phishing, fraud in social networks and messengers)
- protect their personal data (creating strong passwords, two-factor authentication)
- ensure online security on social networks and in the AI world, resist cyberbullying, and avoid dangerous situations.
The program will also tell about the prospects for building a career in cybersecurity, women’s success stories in the field, and available educational opportunities.
Leading Ukrainian and foreign cybersecurity experts have been involved in the creation of the project.
“Cybersecurity is not only about technical skills, but also about critical thinking in the digital environment,” says Serhiy Tokarev, Ukrainian IT entrepreneur and co-founder of Roosh Investment Group, ” We want to give girls the tools that will enable them to recognize threats in the digital world, protect their personal data, and build a career in the promising field of cybersecurity.
The initiative was supported by Women4Cyber, SET University, #stop_sexting, and Cyber Unit Technologies.

The project is being implemented with the financial support of the Office of the Coordinator of U.S. Assistance Programs in Europe and Eurasia of the U.S. Department of State under Round 10 of the Development Cooperation Partnership Program.
STEM is FEM is the first STEM ecosystem in Ukraine that brings together organizations, people, and ideas that interact to promote education and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
