Since the beginning of the summer season, passenger traffic on the border with Ukraine has been increasing, and people planning to return to Ukraine or vice versa have to stand in queues. How to cross the border faster and avoid traffic jams in an exclusive interview [Kommersant]andriy Demchenko, a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, told "Komersant Ukrainian".

“The number of people in queues at the border is constantly fluctuating. At the beginning of the week, there are usually no queues. But at the end of the week: Thursday, Friday, partly Saturday, when more people choose to travel outside Ukraine, passenger traffic increases and the simultaneous arrival of a number of citizens from abroad, including by bus, leads to an increase in queues,” Demchenko said.

He reminded that the Western Regional Directorate’s Facebook page publishes the state of congestion at the checkpoints in the west every three hours so that people can get acquainted with the situation and choose the least congested checkpoints.

“It happens that out of all the checkpoints operating on the border with Poland, one may be busy, and the rest may not have a queue at all. But people continue to come exclusively to this busy one because it is logistically more convenient for them. Instead, they will spend more time waiting in line instead of choosing a freer direction,”

As reported by [Kommersant] previously reported, the absence of Russians is an important factor for Ukrainians planning a holiday abroad, but there is no hotel in any country that officially states that it does not accept Russian citizens . The largest number of them are in Turkey and Egypt, and the smallest number of Russians are in European resorts.

But European countries are not an exception, as there is still the concept of Russians who live in Europe with passports because they fled there before or during the war.

At the same time, Turkey is the only European destination where you can fly directly from Russia without a visa. Turkish operators offer flights from Moscow to Antalya and Bodrum for as little as €110. Therefore, this country tops the ranking of favourite holiday destinations for citizens of the aggressor country.
