Which cars did Ukrainians choose in January: model ratings

Last month, the ten most popular models accounted for 37% of the Ukrainian market for new passenger cars.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing data from Ukravtoprom.
Top 10 new cars in January:
- Renault Duster – 409 units;
- Toyota RAV-4 – 334 units;
- Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – 218 units;
- Hyundai Tucson – 200 units;
- BYD Leopard 3 – 169 units;
- Mazda CX5 – 139 units;
- Skoda Kodiaq – 138 units;
- BYD Sea Lion 06 – 110 units;
- Volkswagen ID.Unyx – 96 units;
- Skoda Octavia – 84 units.
In January 2026, Ukrainians purchased more than 5,100 new passenger cars. This is the best result in the last three years.
The car market in Ukraine
Last year, 81,300 new passenger cars were added to Ukraine’s car fleet, which is 17% more than in 2024. This was the highest annual result for this segment of the car market since 2022.
The Chinese brand BYD became the leader in the new passenger car market.
The most popular model on the Ukrainian market for new passenger cars in 2025 was the Renault Duster crossover.
