What surprises the weather has in store for Ukrainians on December 21: weather forecast

At the end of the week, on December 21, the weather situation in Ukraine will not change significantly. The country continues to be under the influence of a slow-moving anticyclone, which provides calm but cloudy weather. The main meteorological challenge of the day will be dense fog, which will impair visibility on the roads in most regions.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Weather Center, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Precipitation and cloudiness
Mostly cloudy weather is expected throughout Ukraine. Significant precipitation in the form of snow or rain is not expected, but due to high humidity, “drizzle” is possible – small drops of water settling on surfaces. Weak winds of variable directions (3-8 m/s) will not be able to disperse clouds and fog masses.
Temperature indicators
December continues to demonstrate “plus” records. The temperature background will remain stable:
- In most regions: at night and during the day, from 2° Celsius to 3° Celsius.
- In the western and southern regions: during the day, the air will warm up to 4-7° Celsius.
- Crimea: the peninsula is still warm – up to 9-11° Celsius.
Warning for drivers
The yellow (I) level of danger will be in effect throughout the country. Fogs that will form at night and last most of the morning will limit visibility to 200-500 meters. Forecasters warn that such conditions are critical for safe traffic, especially on country roads.
Weather in the capital
December 21 will be a typical December day in Kyiv and Kyiv region: cloudy and wet.
- Precipitation: no significant precipitation.
- Fog: expected at night and in the morning.
- Temperature: in Kyiv at night it will be around 0°, during the day 1-3° Celsius. In the region, fluctuations from -2° to 4° are possible.
