Ukrainian soldiers who have been injured at the frontline are entitled to payments during their treatment. They usually last for four months. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the press service of the Social Security Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

According to the law, military personnel are paid salaries for the last positions they held for the period of release from duty due to illness and treatment. However, this compensation can be provided for no longer than four months from the date of leaving the military unit.

After four months of continuous treatment, financial support is paid in accordance with the conclusion of a medical institution and the decision of the commander of the military unit.

In addition, servicemen who, due to injury (contusion, trauma, mutilation), are undergoing inpatient treatment in healthcare facilities (including foreign ones), or are on leave for treatment after a serious injury according to the conclusion of a military medical commission, are paid an additional remuneration of UAH 100,000 starting from the day of receipt of such injury, including the time of transfer to the hospital.

The wounded defender is paid his/her financial support, including additional remuneration, by the military unit.

In the case of repeated and each subsequent stay of a serviceman on inpatient treatment in healthcare institutions (including foreign ones), according to the medical indicators of the previously received injury (contusion, trauma, mutilation) related to the defence of the Motherland, an additional remuneration is paid in the amount of UAH 100,000.
