What will be the weather like in Ukraine on January 5: weather forecasters’ forecast

On Monday, January 5, a heterogeneous weather situation will form in Ukraine: part of the country will be under the influence of high atmospheric pressure, while other regions will feel the effects of a southern cyclone.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to weather forecaster Natalka Didenko.
What the weather will be like in Ukraine
According to her, a band of high atmospheric pressure will stretch from Portugal and Spain through Central Europe to Ukraine. This means mostly dry weather. Most of the western and northern regions of Ukraine will be without precipitation tomorrow.
The southern cyclone will affect other regions:
- rain will prevail in southern Ukraine;
- snow and sleet are expected in the central regions, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, Chernivtsi region and the foothills of the Carpathians.
Air temperature:
- in most regions: -1…-6°C;
- in the central regions: -4°C to 1°C;
- in the south: 3… 7°C;
- in the south of Crimea: up to 10°C.
Weather in Kyiv
On January 5, no precipitation is expected in the capital, but there may be ice on the roads.
- at night: down to -8°C;
- during the day: about -4°C.
According to Didenko, snow with the cyclone will reach Kyiv on January 6.

The next week will be weather-heterogeneous, and at the end of the week, according to preliminary forecasts, a short-term but noticeable cold snap is possible.
