Yermak and Rubio agree on positions for talks with Putin in Alaska

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, had a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State and Acting National Security Advisor Marco Rubio. He announced this on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
During the conversation, Yermak informed about active cooperation with international partners, in particular during a meeting with US Vice President J.D. Vance. The parties agreed on common positions ahead of a number of important diplomatic decisions scheduled for this week.
Yermak emphasized that Ukraine’s key priority is to establish a just and lasting peace, which includes an unconditional ceasefire as a prerequisite for constructive negotiations. In addition, he emphasized the importance of increasing pressure on Russia to take real action in this direction.
The Head of the President’s Office expressed gratitude to President Donald Trump for his leadership in efforts to end Russia’s war against Ukraine and thanked the American people for their continued support and assistance.
Mr. Yermak also thanked General Keith Kellogg, the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine, for his unwavering support of Ukraine.
As a reminder, a phone call between European leaders, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump is scheduled for Wednesday. The call will take place on the eve of the White House’s meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday.
