The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, had a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio to discuss the ceasefire and prospects for a peaceful settlement. Yermak reported this in Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to Yermak, this was the first call from Marco Rubio after his appointment as acting National Security Advisor to the US President.

“I had an important conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and representatives of the administration of the President of the United States of America – in continuation of yesterday’s contact between our leaders, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the United States Donald Trump,” he informed.

The conversation was attended by Special Representatives of the President of the United States Steven Witkoff and General Keith Kellogg. The Ukrainian side was represented by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

“The main focus was on the ceasefire and prospects for a peaceful settlement. We also emphasized the importance of implementing the points agreed upon by our Presidents,” said Yermak.

The parties praised the ratification of the economic partnership agreement with the United States by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Yermak called it a historic document that opens a new stage in relations between the two countries and creates additional opportunities for strengthening Ukrainian-American cooperation.

“I am grateful to our partners for their constant support and constructive dialog in the most difficult times. We continue to move towards a just and sustainable peace,” added the head of the Office of the President.
