Prediction
The national team of Ukraine is not among the favourites of the tournament. The reputable bookmaker William Hill considers the national teams of France, England and Germany to be such. The bookmakers give odds of 5.0 for France and England to win, and 6.0 for Germany to win.
Ukraine, according to the bookmakers, is an average team that has the same chances of winning as Hungary, Serbia and Switzerland. These teams have been assigned odds of 81.0.
Bookmakers consider the teams of Albania, Slovakia and Georgia to be underdogs. One of them, Slovakia, is Ukraine’s rival in the group.

Preparation of the national team
Out of the 26 players announced for the tournament, the condition of Vitaliy Mykolenko, who was injured in the last friendly with Moldova, is a cause for concern. However, the player underwent an MRI scan and, according to the national team’s doctors, the examination showed that Vitaliy managed to avoid the worst consequences after a tackle by a Moldovan defender. As a result, the national team began active rehabilitation, which gives Mykolenko a chance to appear on the field in Euro 2024 matches.
Yesterday, the Ukrainian national team held an open training session at the BRITA Arena in Wiesbaden.
The price of success
The well-known football finance portal transfermarkt has calculated the market value of the players on the Euro 2024 teams. As it turned out, Ukraine is among the ten most expensive teams. All 26 players of the Ukrainian national team together cost 379 million euros on the market, which allowed the Ukrainian team to take 10th place in this indicator. England is in first place with an astronomical figure of €1.52 billion.
