On Friday, June 27, Ukraine’s cash foreign exchange market showed mixed trends: the hryvnia slightly strengthened against the dollar, but at the same time continued to lose ground against the euro. This is evidenced by monitoring data from exchange offices and the interbank market, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The dollar has fallen
The average selling rate of the dollar in exchange offices fell by 5 kopecks to UAH 41.75, while the dollar is bought at an average of UAH 41.25. On the interbank market, the US currency has fallen by another 1 kopeck and is trading in the range of 41.57-41.60 UAH/dollar (buy and sell).
The official dollar exchange rate set by the National Bank of Ukraine on June 26 also decreased by 7.68 kopecks to UAH 41.5852 per dollar.
The euro has once again updated its historical high
Unlike the dollar, the euro continues to rise in value. On Friday, the average selling rate of the euro in exchange offices rose by 15 kopecks to UAH 49.05, which is a new record. Euros are bought for an average of UAH 48.15.
According to the NBU, the official euro exchange rate rose by 31 kopecks to 48.638 UAH/euro, which is also a historic high for the Ukrainian market.
