“Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be held in Vienna: dates and new identity of the contest are known

The next Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will be held in the Austrian capital. The venue for the grand show will be the Wiener Stadthalle arena, which already hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 after Conchita Wurst won. This was reported by the press service of the contest on the official website of Eurovision, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the official information of the Eurovision press service, the grand final will be held on May 16, 2026, and the semifinals on May 12 and 14.
Austria will host the contest for the third time
This will be the third Eurovision Song Contest for Austria. The first time the country hosted the contest was in 1967, and the second time was in 2015, after Conchita Wurst won with her song Rise Like a Phoenix.
Vienna shares the 4th place with Copenhagen, Malmö and Stockholm in the ranking of cities that have most often hosted Eurovision. Only Dublin, London and Luxembourg have hosted more contests.
New logo: 70 layers of history
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary, the organizers presented an updated logo and visual style.
The design has been simplified to a unique symbol with the Eurovision heart in the center, which is recognizable all over the world.
The logo consists of 70 layers, each symbolizing one year of the contest’s existence.
How did Eurovision 2025 go?
The final of the previous contest took place in May in Basel, Switzerland. The Austrian singer JJ won with his song Wasted Love.
The Ukrainian band Ziferbla took 9th place.
