An open boxing tournament dedicated to the memory of the fallen heroes of Tlumach, Ivano-Frankivsk region, has ended in Tlumach. The competition brought together 187 young athletes from nine regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv and the Tlumach community, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".
The pupils of the SpartaBox children’s boxing section, which has been operating for more than two years with the support of the Favbet Foundation, performed particularly well. Bohdan Loznyi and Damir Lytvynenko won gold medals in their respective weight categories, while Maksym Svystunenko took second place.
On the eve of the tournament, the young boxers held a two-week training camp to prepare for the competition. Although three athletes – Timur Litvinenko, Artur Shulgin and Oleksandr Dyachuk – failed to overcome more experienced opponents in the main stages, they continued to improve their skills in unofficial matches and sparring.
The tournament was judged by Volodymyr Chornyi (national category judge) and Bohdan Chornyi (international category judge), who is also the first mentor of the boxing group that trains with the support of the foundation.

Part of a larger project
The support of the boxing section is part of the Favbet Foundation’s Superheroes Club project, which has been running for over three years. According to the president of the foundation, Andriy Matyukha, the organization currently supports boxing, wrestling, sambo, football, and basketball sections, and is also developing an educational program in cooperation with GoFriends IT Academy.
Most of the projects are targeted at children from families of internally displaced persons and military personnel, providing them with developmental opportunities that they may have been deprived of due to the war.
“We are proud of the achievements of our boxers and grateful to the SpartaBox coaches who support them on their sporting path. Favbet Foundation will continue to support the work of the section and other initiatives for Ukrainian children,”
– the foundation noted.
