Ukraine’s junior futsal team reaches the semifinals of the 2025 European Championship

Ukraine’s junior futsal team has secured a place in the semifinals of the 2025 European Championship. In the decisive match of the group stage, Ukrainian athletes beat Italy 2-0, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the UAF.
Goals for the Ukrainian team were scored by Shpak in the 27th minute and Pershin in the 39th minute.
This victory was the second for the Ukrainians in the tournament. In previous matches, the Ukrainian national team defeated Moldova 7-0, but lost to Portugal 0-4. The final six points allowed the team to take second place in the group and advance to the playoffs.
Thus, for the third time in a row, the Ukrainian junior national team enters the playoffs of the European Futsal Championship.
In the semifinals, which will take place on October 3, Ukraine will face Spain, one of the main contenders for the title.
