The U.S. and Israel’s War Against Iran
Since February 28, the United States and Israel have been carrying out airstrikes against Iran, resulting in the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of high-ranking officials and security personnel.
In response, Iran is attacking Israel and Gulf countries with missiles and drones. According to statements by the Islamic Republic, the attacks on Arab countries are aimed at U.S. military bases in the region. Iran is also striking oil storage facilities in several Gulf countries and oil tankers. Additionally, Azerbaijan and Cyprus, a member of the European Union, have been targeted by Iran since the start of the war.
