From Ukraine to the USA for only 260 UAH: Ukrposhta launches new PRIME tariffs

While US President Donald Trump is announcing an increase in import tariffs, Ukrposhta is taking a step towards Ukrainian business by reducing the cost of delivering parcels to the US using the PRIME service starting October 1. This was announced by Ukrposhta CEO Ihor Smelyansky, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to Igor Smelyansky, CEO of Ukrposhta, the decision was made to support Ukrainian exporters during the most active sales period – the pre-holiday season in the United States, which accounts for more than 25% of annual sales.
“To support Ukrainian exporters during the hottest pre-holiday sales season in the US – when more than 25% of annual sales are made – Ukrposhta reduces PRIME delivery rates,” Smelyansky said.
New tariffs and conditions
Starting from October 1, delivery of small PRIME packages will cost from UAH 260, which is $1.5-2 cheaper than before.
At the same time, the quality and speed of delivery remain unchanged:
- shipments arrive in the USA in just 7 days,
- delivery covers more than 15,000 locations across the country, from San Francisco to Niagara Falls.
Benefits for exporters
The tariff reduction is not just a reaction to the US trade policy, which now imposes duties even on goods under $800.
This is an opportunity for Ukrainian entrepreneurs to expand their exports, because
- the duty on Ukrainian goods is only 10%,
- for comparison: EU – 15%, Switzerland – 45%, Moldova – 25%,
- many countries have not yet resumed full delivery to the United States after the pandemic.
International logistics without compromise
Together with partners DHL, Nordi and Lufthansa, Ukrposhta has created an efficient logistics chain:
- parcel processing in Ukraine – up to 24 hours,
- delivery to London or Frankfurt – in 34-40 hours,
- then direct transportation to the main logistics hubs of the United States: New York, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles.
