In a number of European cities, Ukrainian men are forming long queues at passport offices to obtain documents without a military ID. They are trying to get their passports made before the new mobilisation law comes into force. This became known from a video circulating on social media, Komersant ukrainskyi https://www.komersant.info/ reports.

On 11 April, the Verkhovna Rada passed a law on mobilisation in the second reading. It provides for restrictions on the provision of consular services to Ukrainian men liable for military service abroad. This right will be denied to men who have not updated their military registration data in the Military Registration and Enlistment Office. So, before the new law came into force, men abroad rushed to passport offices to update their documents.

Huge queues formed in cities with a representative office of the State Enterprise Document.

One video shows people standing outside a passport office in Prague. The queue is very long and not everyone will be able to get into the office before the end of the working day.

Also in Germany, a large number of men are waiting in line outside the offices of the State Enterprise “Document”.
