Fierce fighting continues: General Staff names the hottest area of the frontline

Over the last day, 128 combat engagements were registered in the frontline. The situation was the hottest in the Pokrovsk sector. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the General Staff.
According to the updated information, yesterday the enemy launched two missile attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using three missiles, as well as 69 air strikes, dropping 88 UAVs. In addition, it carried out more than 5,200 attacks, including 96 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The enemy carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas, including Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Slobozhanske, Liptsi, Borshchova, Vesele, Staritsy, Vovchanski Khutory, Chaikivka, Petropavlivka, Tabaivka, Bohuslavka in Kharkiv region; Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Pivnichne, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, Zhelanne, Ivanivka, Novoekonomichne, Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Myrnohrad, Oleksandropil, Illinka, Katerynivka, Vodiane, Katerynivka, Yelizavetivka, Prechystivka, Pavlivka, Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk Oblast; Lobkove, Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Beryslav, Dnipryany, Novoberislav in Kherson Oblast.
Situation at the frontline
In theKharkiv sector, the number of attacks in the last day was six. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Hlyboke and Vovchansk.
In theKupyansk sector, two firefights took place near Novoosynove and Sinkivka.
In theLiman sector, the enemy attacked 14 times near Makiivka, Nevske, Novosergiivka, Terny, Novosadove and Torske.
In theSiverskyi sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight assaults by Russian invaders near Spirne, Verkhnekamianske, Pereizne and Ivan-Daryivka.
In theKramatorsk sector, the occupiers attacked 10 times in the areas of Vasyukivka, Ivanivske, Chasovyi Yar, Klishchiyivka, Hryhorivka and Bondarne.
In theToretsk sector, the enemy carried out 17 attacks near Pivnichne, New York, Toretsk and Zalizne.
In thePokrovsk sector, our defenders repelled 52 attacks in the areas of Tymofiivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zelene Pole, Kalynove, Ivanivka, Progress, Zhelanne, Serhiivka, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. With the support of aviation, the Russians tried to force our units out of their positions. The highest concentration of enemy attacks was near Zhelanne and Novooleksandrivka.
In theKurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled five attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defences of our troops.
In theVremivsk sector, Russian troops made five attacks near Velyka Novosilka, Kostiantynivka and Rozdolne.
In theHuliaypillia and Orikhivske directions, the occupants continue to try to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. There were four combat engagements in the areas of Huliaipol, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka and Novoandriivka.
In thePrydniprovskyi sector, the Russian attack was unsuccessful during an assault on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
In theVolyn and Polissya directions, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
Enemy losses
Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Defence Forces conducted five strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and weapons, and also hit five artillery systems, a UAV control centre, an infrastructure facility and a storage facility for military equipment.
In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1,310 casualties over the past day. Ukrainian troops also neutralised 12 tanks, eight armoured combat vehicles, 74 artillery systems, two MLRS, 39 operational and tactical UAVs, one cruise missile, 62 vehicles and 19 pieces of enemy special equipment.
The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 29.07.24 were approximately
