President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff to discuss the course of events at the front, the creation and development of corps, and strikes on Russian military targets. He announced this in an evening video message, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Today I held a meeting of the Chiefs of Staff. There were also separate conversations with Defense Minister Umerov, Chief of Staff Syrsky, and Chief of the General Staff Gnatov. There were reports from the intelligence agencies and the Security Service of Ukraine,” he said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the focus was primarily on the frontline, the creation and development of corps and strikes on Russian military targets – “on everything that works for them to strike Ukraine.”
The President emphasized that the accuracy of the Ukrainian side should not only spoil Moscow’s mood, but also reduce the real indicators of military production, army supply, and strategic potential.
“I am grateful to all our soldiers and companies that provide this. I am also grateful to all the soldiers for their resilience,” the president said.
Zelenskyy also held a meeting on the schedule of international work in June.
According to him, one of the key issues will be the acceleration of diplomacy and real solutions.
“Not a single meeting should be empty – we must always feel in Ukraine what this or that negotiation, this or that format gives us,” he said.
Zelenskyy noted that if the meeting does not bring us closer to solutions that can end the war through diplomacy, “then there must be solutions that will help our defense, our active actions or pressure on Russia.”
“Painful pressure on Russia or real effective diplomacy to end the war – these are the only options,” the head of state emphasized.
