Ukraine’s volleyball team continues to fight for the Nations League

The Ukrainian men’s volleyball team has won a strong-willed victory in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Candidates Cup, beating Chile, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
“The beginning of the game was not easy for our athletes – they lost the first set with a score of 20:25. However, the Ukrainians managed to pull themselves together and turn the tide of the match. In the second set, despite the initial advantage of the Chileans, our team snatched a 25-23 victory.
Having gained confidence, the Ukrainian volleyball players confidently won the third and fourth sets with the same score of 25:19, thus securing the overall victory in the match.
Interestingly, this is the second meeting between these teams – last season, the Ukrainians also defeated the Chileans, then with a 3-0 score.
This victory paved the way for the Ukrainian team to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. The next opponent of our volleyball players will be the Belgian team. This match will take place tomorrow, 6 July, at 11:00 Kyiv time. The broadcast will be available only on the paid platform Volleyball World.
