Ukraine’s field hockey teams will not qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris

The men’s and women’s national teams of Ukraine failed to qualify for the Olympic Games to be held in Paris this summer.
Both Ukrainian national teams lost their opening two matches in the Olympic qualifying tournament currently taking place in Valencia, Spain, and lost their chances of further qualification. Both the men’s and women’s national teams are currently in last place in their respective groups.
The men’s team lost to Ireland 5-1 and Japan 5-2. The women’s national team lost to Korea 3-0 and Ireland 8-0.
Thus, Ukraine lost the opportunity to be represented in the Olympic field hockey tournament for the first time in its history.
