According to him, tomorrow representatives of the general staffs, chiefs of general staffs and representatives of other countries in the military sector are leaving for Europe.
“After that, there will be a meeting of leaders, and security documents will be finalized. The leaders will discuss many different issues, but the focus is on security guarantees and recovery,” Zelenskyy said.
The President added that during these meetings, there will be meetings with President Trump’s team, and these meetings will also be held in Paris.
“They will last a day, maybe two days. Let’s see how things go. After that, I think we will prepare for a meeting in the United States at the level of leaders in a broad circle. We would like all this to happen in January, by the end of January,” the president said.
The last meeting between Zelensky and Trump
On Sunday, December 28, Ukrainian and US Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump met in Florida. After the talks, the leaders of the two countries made statements about their results. In particular, Trump reported some progress on the Donbas issue, adding that a final decision has not yet been made, but the parties are close to an agreement.
The US President also announced the creation of a special working group on peaceful settlement, which will work with US officials and interact with the Russian side.
Zelenskyy noted that the peace plan was 90% agreed upon, and the security guarantees from the United States were 100%.
