Zelensky announced an increase in funding for the Armed Forces: who will get more
7 November 00:50
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the state will increase funding for units fighting on the front line. The head of state said this in his evening address, summarizing his working trips to Donetsk and Dnipro regions, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to him, the current amount of funds is not enough to fully supply the frontline, so the government is working to expand the military’s ability to buy everything they need to fight.
“There were questions from the brigades about solutions that, unfortunately, do not work fully. There was also feedback from the combatants on the supply of weapons and support programs,” Zelenskyy said.
Additional funds for those on the front line
The President emphasized that more funding would be allocated to the front line, that is, to the corps and brigades directly involved in the hottest battles.
The government is also preparing decisions that will allow the military to promptly purchase equipment and other necessary items for combat operations.
“We have to settle all issues, including the write-off of lost property, so that there is no unnecessary bureaucracy,” the President added.
Military service renewal is being prepared
In addition to financial issues, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Staff plans to consider a new contractual basis for service in the Armed Forces. Zelenskyy emphasized that the details of this mechanism are currently being worked out so that servicemen receive clear and understandable rules of service.
The President also confirmed that in the coming days, new meetings of the Chief of Staff and other meeting formats with the participation of commanders will be held to develop specific solutions to improve the efficiency of military units.
