President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the need to reduce bureaucratic procedures related to the presentation of state awards to military personnel. According to him, the document flow and the number of signatures and approvals should be reduced, and the system itself should be digitalized, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“There are many cases when the military wait for months to be awarded – solely because of cumbersome bureaucratic procedures,” Zelenskyy said on social media.
In addition, a number of other decisions were discussed at meetings with the military leadership and at the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Office. In particular:
- Brigades will receive direct funding for the purchase of drones.
- The procedure for purchasing pickup trucks will be simplified.
“Our soldiers should have a real opportunity to buy exactly the vehicles they need, in the most expeditious way,” the President said.
The head of state also instructed to expand the contract program for men aged 18-24, including a possible increase in the age limit for signing a contract.
