Zelensky may visit the US this week – media

U.S. and Ukrainian officials are currently discussing a possible visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States, which, according to preliminary data, could take place as early as this week.

This was reported by Reuters, citing two sources familiar with the talks in Geneva, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to one of the sources, the main purpose of the trip is for Zelenskyy to personally discuss the most sensitive elements of the proposed peace plan with US President Donald Trump. In particular, it concerns the issue of territories that will be key to future agreements.

So far, there is no official date for the visit. Negotiations on the details are ongoing, and a decision may be made in the coming days.

Earlier it was reported that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, in Geneva said they had made progress in reaching a possible agreement on the peace plan proposed by Washington.
